Catcher Robert Stock left high school early to go to USC, but a disappointing college career raised questions about whether he was even a better prospect as a reliever, but he hit very well in his pro debut and may have just needed to get to a new development system to restart his career. Relievers don't usually make my top 100 unless they're top-shelf, but ex-catcher Casey Mulligan and his plus changeup could sneak into the big leagues this year. And if he doesn't, he has a future in entertainment.

The entertainment sentence is referring to his "Thriller" YouTube video. It's linked in the ESPN article.

been here a few days, and already can see 'Swirl' has MiLB under his thumb. thanks.

Stock was def a head scratcher pick with just about everybody Id spoke with at the time. his problems @ USC had people forgeting his 'couldve been' prospect status. but if hes going to turn himself into a pitcher, i think our organization is a good fit. specifically the way Luhnow hordes RH RP's. which means he'll be given more of a chance, IMO, with this FO.

At this point, Stock is much more valuable as a catcher.

Most of my MiLB passion comes from Future Redbirds. Once ST starts, they'll have daily feeds with MiLB stats, interviews, scouting reports, etc. I highly recommend it.
