Memphis 4, New Orleans 6
Lance Lynn allowed 6 ER on 9 hits. He struck out 5 and walked no one. Without knowing the groundball rate, I still find this to be a largely encouraging outing for Lynn. He’ll give up hits in bunches at times but his livelihood is dependent on his command and his ability to keep hits in the park.
Adam Reifer struck out 1 in 1 inning of work. No, I don’t expect to see him in Memphis this year. He’s got a live arm but there are too many relievers bunched up at the top for someone who didn’t have a great season in A+ ball last year.
Eduardo Sanchez allowed 1 hit and 1 walk in his inning of work.
Pete Parise and Blake King each threw a perfect frame striking out 1.
Ruben Gotay was 1-for-2 with a walk.
Tyler Greene doubled.
Amaury Cazana Marti singled (mightily).
Springfield 7, Jacksonville 4
Nick Additon had an excellent outing striking out 6 in 5 IP. He walked no one and allowed 2 ER on 4 hits.
David Kopp struck out 3 in 2 innings of work. He allowed 2 hits and 1 ER.
Adron Chambers had three hits including a triple.
Daryl Jones went yard. (A few more of these please.)
Andrew Brown had a pair of hits including a HR.
Pete Kozma(naut) doubled and tripled.
