I was just designated the game chooser for our department's Indianapolis Indians games. Any thoughts about what players/teams I should try to see? Most of the folks here couldn't tell Nick Additon from Shelby Miller, but ridiculously impressive prospects or maybe stars coming back from rehab would be the obvious choices. Basically I'm looking for this year's Strasburg, if such a thing exists.

There's no 'this year's Strasburg' but there's a lot of talent there. A lot of it is pitching, and I doubt you'll be able to plan much on who's pitching when.

I'd avoid Toledo, Syracuse (the Nats studs are lower), and Lehigh Valley. You're good with Gwinnett, Pawtucket, Durham, few others. You can't go wrong with any of them. But. If Montero is not a Yankee, he's probably the most reliable you-can-tell-your-grandkids-you-saw-him-when player in the IL and would make a Scranton/W-B game my #1 choice. Unless you luck into a Gwinnett game that Julio Teheran is pitching. Julio Tehearn. For real. Not real big, but throws a hard fastball with disgusting late movement and it's only his second best pitch, after his changeup. Little guy, throws a hard fastball and nasty change. Sound familiar?

Montero is a good name. Of course there's a good chance he won't be at AAA in June.

Pawtucket can be good and bad, because Red Sox fans show up at Victory Field en masse.

My wife's step-mother lives in Indy, so I'm able to catch a game or three there every year.

Considering 3 of the top 10 prospects are in the Royals organization (PCL), you don't have much to choose from. Maybe this years Strausburg is in the PCL too (Trout of the Angels). Montero is definitely the top position prospect in the IL. Dominic Brown of the Phillies is another good one, but he might be up soon.
