It'd be nice if he was named NL Player of the Year within a few years, a little overally optimistic but oh well.

What does he have between the ears? What is the scuttle-butt on his makeup?

That's a question for DocEllis.

I just thought we'd lean on her expetise in makeup. She knows more about makeup than anyone. ANYONE.

What's your favorite concealer?

PLEASE MAKE SURE AND TELL WHY.

Taveras made the Baseball America 2012 Minor League All-Star Team:
C: Sanchez
1B: Singleton
2B: Deshields Jr.
3B: Olt
SS: Profar
OF: Eaton
OF: Taveras
OF: Myers
DH: Hamilton
SP: Bauer, Bundy, Cingrani, Fernandez, Straily
RP: Capps

When they announce their minor league player of the year it could be a very close race between him and Myers.

-------

Goldstein told a story on the BP podcast a while back, which I've seen again recently in print to back up what KG related.

The story goes that Taveras arrived to camp and Vuch sat him down and showed him the Big Board--where guys were likely to be assigned for 2012. Taveras' name wasn't on the board, and Vuch told him "We don't know where to put you. It's either high-A or AA. Your bat is ready for the double-jump to AA, but your defense is way too far behind for that assignment. Show us something in camp." Taveras did the first-one-in/last-one-out thing, taking extra fly balls in the back fields every day of camp. Defensively, he still leaves a lot to be desired, but I think what's between the ears as far as coachability and #want at this point sounds good.

Can he manage a game without calling for a bunt?

Very funny. But I feel compelled to answer and MAKE SURE AND TELL WHY.

I have never purchased, nor used, concealer. I think it is gross and harms your skin. Same goes for any "flesh colored" lotion or foundation.

Oscar "Ted Williams" Taveras wound up batting .319/.385/.500 with four homers and 12 doubles over 37 games in the Dominican Winter League.
