Something you'll notice from this list is that the Cardinals have NEVER had the #1 overall draft pick in the history of the MLB Draft which dates back to 1965.

Thought I heard last night that the cards have only finished last in their division once. Ever.

Pretty much point of this topic is even in their worst seasons they've never hit rock bottom like the Astros this year or the Royals, Nationals and Pirates in their bad years.
