He has 3 BB's and 13 K's in 95 plate appearances. The # of K's is pretty good, but I'm sure people would like to see his BB numbers higher. They are down from his walk rate at QC last year....small sample size, but a great start!

The relatively low # of both BB's and K's is just another thing that makes Taveras remind me a little bit of Vladdy Guerrero.

Yeah, but he swings too hard!
Kid can't draw a walk.

So, has Kozma been moved to 2B on a regular basis now? Bumped by Ryan Jackson? Good God. Just release him.

Release? Trade him to Houston.

He hit a walkoff homer yesterday. Sell high.

We really have to hope that by some miracle Wong keeps hitting at a crazy level at AA. If he does it will be hard for the club not to promote him to AAA at mid-season. I really expect him to be in Springfield a full year, but if the kid is ops'ing 900, why not give him a shot at a quick run through the system?

That would probably force Kozma at least to the bench. Doubt we'll release him, but he's probably running out of time. When the club has to give Jackson or Wong room on the 40-man, that will be the end of him.

If Kozma is fine sitting in Memphis being about sixth in line for big league playing time, let him sit there until we've got something better.

Kozma is just a few letters shy of Mendoza. I think it might be Russian for "AAA version of Mario Mendoza."

Going to see Rosenthal tonight in Springburg...looking forward to it, as I'm 6 rows behind home plate so I'll get a really good feel for what the kids about, the sequencing, the way he 'feels' the breaking ball and- most importantly- how the hitters react to it.

What was your take on Rosenthal look last night? I see his line was 5IP, 6H, 2ER, 6BB, 2K

Last night Hald had this line down in Burlington: 6IP, 5H, 1ER, 0BB, 6K
