BBRef lists him at 162lbs. Can't be right.

Pretty good spread between his BA and OBP. ISOs aren't remarkable but he seems to have made great progress as a hitter since starting professionally at 18 years young. Might be coming into his own.

At some point, there will be a "Funky Cold Medina" reference here.
I got his height/weight from this page:

I wonder if he weight 162 back in the Dominican Summer League when he was 17. I was surprised that they listed him at 230lbs, honestly, but he's definitely bigger than 162!

By his numbers he looks like he strikes out a bit much, but he does at least walk some, too.

I think that's right but he had been playing mostly 1B for QC before he got hurt.

Roberto De La Cruz was signd as a 3B, and also went by the name Roberto Piña.

I think you're mixing him up with Luis De La Cruz, who is still a catcher in the farm system.

Xavier Scruggs has a blog ( http://stlcardinals.scout.com/2/1179356 ... 6Y.twitter )

and it is interesting. The Cards give the guys 3 total days in a hotel to figure out where they will live and after that they have to pay for a hotel. He also did a blog about playing in Mexico over the winter which was kind of interesting too.

I remember when, at one point, Xavier Scruggs was my favorite prospect.

I was also new to the prospect game.

Meant to post this earlier...Hald's line from Friday: 6IP, 3H, 0R, 1BB, 6K

It was his best outing so far. I was at the game. He gave up one hard hit on a first pitch fastball. Other than that, they didn't really touch him. The other hits were a grounder and a blooper.

Through 22 games, Taveras has a slash of .330/.358/.659 with 6 HR and 22 RBI. He also has 8 2B and 2 3B. Not bad for 19.
