I'm not a hockey guy, but isn't the same thing happening with the Coyotes and their new-ish stadium? WTF Arizona?

Why would they want to leave Phoenix? Unless they were moving to Montreal?

Supervisor Bill Gates, R-Phoenix, said the agreement will help keep baseball in Arizona.

"It's an opportunity to turn the page and become partners again, quite frankly, with the Arizona Diamondbacks," said Gates, who helped negotiate the deal and received campaign donations in 2015 from team majority owner Ken Kendrick, his wife Randy Kendrick and team president Derrick Hall.

I think he meant to say that it is an opportunity to turn the page for the Diamondbacks and for him to get the next round of campaign donations for following through on helping the team screw the city, state and fans out of even more money.

What the hell? Chase Field is still a pretty nice stadium. I mean, it is pretty empty, but I don’t think that is because of the stadium or its location.
