The kid has a real chance to be a bonafide star. I've written multiple times his hit tool was crazy advanced for a kid with his power, but not to the point he'd be smashing A-ball pitching a month and a half into his professional career.

Even if he has to move to 1B he can be an impact player. If he could be a 45 glove at 3B you're talking 4-5 wins.

Like that Pujols guy? Granted, he was 21, but still.

Is Nolan Gorman still a 50 FV? Any movement now or guesses on where he'll be in the offseason write ups?

Only Madrigal and Mize are 55's from that draft class, so Gorman can't really get up there until the positional stuff is more decided, which will take time to see which direction he's trending. A couple scouts said when Gorman was getting beat up by scouts this spring that he's Austin Riley and he's sure starting his pro career the same way.

Are you also a guy who thinks he didn't take some kind of PED?

To my knowledge, Pujols was never involved in any sort of steroids scandal. Is he older than his birth certificate says? Possibly. Probably, based on his severe decline in LAA. But plenty of players dramatically fall off a cliff in the mid-30s.

But at the time he came up, nobody had any reason to suspect he may be a year or two older than he actually was purported to be. And there's still, to my knowledge, no physical evidence that he is not his stated age. Sure stats indicate it is certainly possible, but there are plenty of bona fide natural citizen baseball players that played like [expletive] when they hit their mid-30s. He's certainly not an outlier in that regard.
