Ten years ago he was 11; so I don't think the Cardinals sign them quite that young. He is from Cuba and he was in the Cardinals Dominican Summer League in 2016.

That must be something to be in A Ball where just about everybody was born between 1996 and 1998 and most will never even make a single big league appearance and then all of a sudden you're facing a guy like Carlos Martinez on a rehab assignment.

Or to in AA and suddenly facing Clayton Kershaw and all the achievements he has reached and accolades that he's received over his career... and hit a bomb off of him like Kramer Robertson and Dylan Carlson did a month or so ago.

Redbirds Short in 6-5 Loss to Iowa
After leading 4-0, the Memphis Redbirds (17-15) fell behind by two, then rallied to load the bases with one out in the bottom of the ninth but could not finish the comeback in a 6-5 defeat to the Iowa Cubs (Cubs) in the series opener Tuesday night at AutoZone Park.

The win is Iowa's (22-10) eighth-straight.

O'Neill keeps rocking Memphis.

I wish we had all stars at 7 of 8 NP positions so that O'Neill could just get reps at MLB level.
