Should be and prolly will be our top prospect once lists are adjusted.

I have a feeling that this kid will be the truth.

At 20 years old, he is currently holding his own.

Quote:
For Class AA Springfield, Carlson is in the top 10 in every significant offensive category, leading the league in runs (58), second in homers (13), and fifth in slugging (.510) and OPS (.876).

currently slashing .282/.366/.510 - 11% BB rate, 19% K rate

Anybody else watch the MiLB all star game last night? Highlighted the runner on 2nd to start the inning in extras? Carlson got one of the two RBIs for the National League and started in RF. Gormon came in to pinch run in the 5th I think and had a decent AB before striking out.

gorman will bat ~.250, strike out about 30% of time but hit about 40 homers.

Nice numbers for a 1B i guess

Does the high K rate matter if he is walking 11% of the time?

maybe not IF he can walk 11% of the time.

Let's say he can...then he's essentially a slightly worse version of 2019 Paul Goldschmidt.

Year and a half

Yes, it makes a difference.

*checks notes again*

Carlson was worse than Gorman at that age.
