Hibbert should have been in, in my opinion, but I understand his logic. Were Hibbert in, they'd run an action with Bosh to pull him off of the block and the same thing would happen. The first buzzer beater lay up, they played back on LeBron and he just beasted over George Hill, so the second time around, one of the best perimeter defenders in the game bodied up on him to play him tight and he just burned him with a quick cut and acceleration.

This is why he's LeBron. Guard him with speed and he beats you with strength. Guard him with size and he beats you with speed.

George played him like he thought he had help behind him. Help was on the bench and he should've known that.

All of that said, Hibbert should have been in there and they should have forced the ball into Bosh or someone else's hands.

Vogel is catching a lot of grief for having Hibbert on the bench, but I don't think he deserves it. It was just a great play by Miami. Hibbert would have had to act on two triggers by Miami - the screen by Allen and the screen by LBJ. He wouldn't have been quick enough to react. Sometimes you just have to tip you hat to the other team for a well-executed play.

The criticism of Vogel is a little premature. He over thought the last play. Even with Hibbert in, it would have been hard to stop that freight train.

Yeah, but who do they pick? While I'm clearly a huge fan of the local kid, Porter, none of these guys are number 1 picks.

As for Porter, unfortunately, I think he stays in D.C.

Pacers evened the series last night with a 97-93 win. LeBron had 2 key turnovers for the Heat at the end of the game that may have cost them.

I hadn't watched the Pacers very much until the playoffs, but they're a great team.

I enjoyed trolling all my New York customers discussing how they would match up against the Heat, by reminding them (before and during the Knicks/Pacers series) that despite their complete lack of knowledge of anything about the flyover states, the Pacers are a superbly well put together team, and better than the Knicks. Duh.

I definitely think the Pacers will win one more game at home, perhaps even two, before losing to the Heat+Referee tandem.

I actually thought that Memphis would suit up better against the Heat than the Spurs, but good ol' Duncan and co are just dominating right now. Good lord I want them to beat the Heat so badly.

congrats to the spurs. maybe if the heat/pacer series takes awhile the old guys can rest up before the heat.

though how hilarious would it be to have spurs/pacers (from sterns pov).
