So the Timbers are good. Not totally convincing the way they closed out the last two on the road but they brought home points and played very well for stretches. Just played 5 straight against top clubs and earned 10 points. Far more fortitude than last year's squad. And more fun to watch. Probably some more growing pains to come but looks pretty good so far.

The European club manager who has signed the most American players in European football history is now the manager at Manchester United. David Moyes really deserves this shot and I like Man United 100% more than I did yesterday. Obviously his love of the American player had more to do with getting bang for his buck on an extremely limited budget and now that he has United's resources he won't have to bargain hunt in the transfer market, but it's still exciting.

Brad Guzan, Kasey Keller, Brad Friedel and Nick Rimando are on twitter. You can always try to get them to reply.
Looks like he opted out. I'd have to think he's given up his shot at making the WC side this summer.
apparently not. invited to Toulon for pre WC camp is what I'm hearing.
and my mom is a lousy source. Anyway, he is apparently on the provisional roster, goes to Turkey if one of the other 3 GKs get injured- or whatever. Unsure if he'll go to the pre WC camp.

Quite sure opting out of CONCACAF qualifying (to stay in school) hurt him in Ramos' eyes but apparent not enough to be completely out of the picture.

Last ten minutes of that game, along with the Arsenal game with the Champions League in the balance, was unbelievably exciting.

Robbie Rogers is back. Did not think LA would have to give up that much to get him. Wow.

Yeah, awesome deal for Chicago. The Galaxy do need width though. Tough to give up a goal scorer and big game guy like Magee for someone who hasn't played in a year though.
