Holloway-Conor and Khabib-Ferguson is the perfect scenario for both the UFC and fans. That lines up rarely, so hopefully they make both fights happen.

Max is something special for sure, but I've never seen anyone take as many clean shots to the face as Ortega. That dude's heart and pain tolerance is incredible. Hopefully Max goes up, remains elite in the LW division, Ortega continues to evolve and gets better takedowns or maybe picks up some funky Damian Maia moves to get his hands on guys. He'll never see a striker better than Max, but if he's going to fulfill his potential, he really needs to learn how to initiate his jiu jitsu offense against elite stand up guys.

Btw, I was a little stoned at the grocery store on friday night and came around the corner walking quickly and almost ran into a tiny brick wall named Henry Cejudo. It was funny because there was the normal self-consciously high reaction of "whoa look out, keep it together dude you almost flattened that short guy" and then the secondary realization that it was the flyweight champion of the world and he could literally rip my arms off if he wanted to and it blew my mind. You just don't expect to see the guy who beat Demetrious Johnson in a fight to be checking out the olive oils at your neighborhood grocery store.

This does make sense if Holloway-Conor fight at 155, then the winner takes on the winner of Khabib-Ferguson. My big concern is when Conor and Khabib will make it back after all the post fight shenanigans.

Although I doubt it will happen, I think Conor needs to fight a lower tier opponent to re-establish himself and get back on track. He looked really bad against Khabib and not himself at all. Part of that was due to Khabib being awesome, but not completely. If Conor suffers another loss he'll be 2-3 in his last 5 fights and his impact on the sport will start to really fade.

This is amazing.

Jon Jones’s drug test was “abnormal.”

He’s microdosing like Romero. Sad stuff for the guys who can’t afford the private chemist steroids.

It's hard to believe the UFC is still this fragile that they have to bend over this far backwards for one of their 3-5 actual PPV draws. I just want to see Bones fight, I don't particularly care if he's dirty.

I think Nunes has the heaviest hands in MMA.

Alex G. is just too one dimensional. Great boxing and cardio but that’s about it. Jon took advantage of some deficiencies.

I think anyone criticizing Jon Jones' performance is just trying to see a decline that they can tie to not taking PED's. I didn't see that at all. He took away every single thing Gus succeeded with in the first fight and Gus didn't adjust at all. Those little stomp kicks hit him every single time he tried to stealthily move into striking distance and eventually tore his groin. Not something that looks flashy on TV but every tiny thing he did just systematically frustrated and broke Gus down until he was totally defenseless against the take down and Bones might not be as strong as he was 6 years ago because of age/PED testing, but Gus is a strong dude and Jon totally manhandled him on the ground. There was still a huge strength disparity.

Amanda Nunes is amazing and incredibly likable. That's all I have to say about that.

That's a good summary thrill. I hope this shows Jon that he doesn't need the sauce. He's so long and honestly I think his fight IQ is probably the best by a good margin. What he lacks in explosion he makes up for in precision, well-roundedness, and comfort. I don't think he pushed past 3rd gear in that fight. he dominates every clinch. he can hit you with good [expletive] from every angle. and he attacks unconventional vulnerabilities. No one else has a reputation from tearing groins, labrums, etc. I think DC would be fighting a slightly physically diminished JJ but an even smarter fighter. People are saying it's the worst JJ they've seen since OSP but I don't see it.

I'm willing to put his sociopath thing aside when he looks that good. wow

Not sure where else to put this, but this is classic. (probable racist) prick gets angry, grabs McD's employee over the counter, and she WHOOPS HIS ASS.

Almost as great as the beating itself, you gotta read this article.

With the proliferation of real martial arts like BJJ (and CCW guns, I guess) you never know when you’re [expletive] with the wrong hombre.
