My brother is on this tyrade that the media is out to villanize hockey. Is this true? If they are blaming this on the sport it's kind of silly, I mean soccer has to be the worst for crazy stuff.

Soccer can get pretty bad, I think in some stadiums (most/all? thrill might be able to help) they don't even sell booze during the game to help mitigate the hooligans from starting stuff.

These weren't Canuck fans rioting.

Similar to the 'Battle for Seattle' back in the 90's, these
were anarchists breaking $hit just for the sheer joy of it.
Like Jim mentioned, the riot was 'go' win or lose.

Vancouver is a great city. Don't be so quick to condemn it,
especially if you've never visited it.
