Why if Michigan St. is the 4th no. 1 do they face Mizzou, the 4th no. 2? You'd think it'd be the opposite and they'd have Kansas in their region.
The top #1 gets the lowest #2- it goes 1-1 vs 2-4, 1-2 vs 2-3, 1-3 vs 2-2, 1-4 vs 2-1
Based on this thought process (the "S-curve" line of reasoning), it should be Kentucky/Mizzou, Syracuse/Ohio State, North Carolina/Duke, and Michigan State/Kansas. They obviously weren't putting UNC and Duke in the same bracket, and they weren't going to give Missouri the St. Louis location over Kansas since Mizzou is the 4th number 2 seed. So, Kansas was put in the St. Louis region with UNC, Duke got the Atlanta region since they're "ahead of" Missouri, and Mizzou got what was left.
I still like Missouri's chances.
