Kobe's wife filed for divorce today. if she got half of everything then she'd get 90% of every dime the Lakers have paid him (according to that rovell guy on twitter)....

I wish I was in a position to date her and make her (him) pay for everything. That would make me sooooo happy. If I had a choice between that or A Blazers championship, I'd seriously have to think about it.

She'll get half. It's California and he didn't make her sign a prenup. Move over, Elin. There's a new most eligible bachelorette.

Hey Aminu, Gordon, Kaman... How does it feel being the newest Hornets?

Hate to be a Bitter Blazer here, but I don't think people are talking enough about Chris Paul's knee.

My son and I had a pretty long (~10 minutes or so) with Sam Smith yesterday at our health club. Sam had this to say:

- This Hamilton is a good fit for this team. He will work his way into starting lineup but may not begin season there.
- Asik is going to be a very good player and should see much improvement this year. Going to be tough to keep as he becomes an unrestricted FA after the end of this year.
- Boozer is in great shape .. but not great basketball shape. Hopefully that will come. Thinks he trained more for being a bachelor again than basketball.
- OKC is the team to beat in the west, Miami/Chicago in the East. Other teams could make noise - Clippers of course. No dominant team.
- Rose looks focused and committed - don't look for anything less from DRose than 110%. Only way he knows how to play *and* train.

Sam is a great guy who will stop and talk basketball with you. My son just peppered him with question after question and he was a gracious and patient as you could ask. I saw Sam again today and thanked him for his time yesterday, told him he made my son's day. He replied that my son made his ... that he loves talking basketball with intelligent and informed fans. That's definitely not me - but my son is really on top of the game.

In the preseason game on Saturday Boozer looked just as lazy as always. That's going to be the biggest obstacle for his speed. Not weight.
