Bounce back Saturday, take a game in San Jose. There's a reason they make these things 7 games long.

What's your main complaint with their play last night?

And once I needed to make some money to pay my rent, so I made a deposit.

I would say the periodic lapses in effort/performance, specifically the one leading to the OT goal. Not a very consistent game for the team.

They had a lot of good chances though. Plenty of opportunities to bury some pucks, but just didn't get the right bounces. Niemi tries to play the puck way too much--hopefully the Blues can burn him at least once, as they did in the regular season.

Didn't really like some of the calls, given that it was a playoff game. It was called a bit tight I think.

#10 is really, really fast.

The Sharks had quite a few chances where everything seemed to breakdown defensively. So it sucks to lose, but in my delusional mind it could have been worse.

I have complete faith in #10 and #15 to do their parts in the playoffs. #44 was invisible last night, which was a bit disappointing. I did like that #75 had an impact.

I will not be surprised if #25 is in the press box for the next game.

As a hockey fan without a horse in this particular race, it was an amazing game to watch.

Hockey fans everywhere blame "lack of effort" when their team loses. I can assure you, it's not a lack of effort. These guys work insanely hard. It might be more of a lack of focus that is the problem, or a lack of sticking to the game plan, etc.

And there is an under-appreciated element of randomness in hockey, too. Sometimes you can play your best game and still lose. The puck can bounce funny. I'm looking forward to more games like this one, hopefully 7.

The Blues being a highly seeded team and losing to the Sharks in the first round of the playoffs, haven't we been here before?

I think they dominated most of the game, actually. They just lack the top end talent to put teams away.

I wouldn't be either. I think #9 should take his place.

So, my dreams of Chris Stewart becoming Claude Lemieux can be forgotten?
