Anyone remotely familiar with either team understands that NIU returns a ton of starters that are coming off an appearance in the friggin' Orange Bowl, while Purdue got blasted in a bowl they had no business playing in, has probably the nation's toughest schedule, and is struggling mightily to adapt to a new coach and system that right now is poorly matched to the personnel at hand....
No shock that NIU won, although the margin was pretty disappointing...The term "Purdue football" is an oxymoron right now.
