Adding bowl games and a college football playoff aren't mutually exclusive. I get that not all bowl games are great, and basically all bowl games outside the final four or whatever are mostly meaningless. But, I, for one, welcome more games.

You're right, they're not mutually exclusive, but the playoffs were awesome. Cincinnati versus Louisiana-Monroe? Not so much. I'm glad you welcome more games, but if it's the Tucson Bowl, I'd guess you're in the minority.

Why is getting the former like pulling teeth but the latter is a snap? Of course this is rhetorical, I know the answer is money.

I've never understood the bellyaching about [expletive] bowl games. It's better than an extra 3 hours of Sportscenter or First Take or whatever ridiculous show ESPN is going to air.
