According to the article about the walkon, he lost his scholly to Terez Hall who chose Mizzou over Nebraska and Wisconsin.
Anyway, sounds like Gardner, the walk on, is a good student and they probably hooked him up with an academic scholarship for his freshman year.

It sucks to lose Martin and not even get a sniff on that kid from Rock Bridge when they really need some WRs, but they did get several decent prospects. Hopefully some of them are ready to play right away. I love the group of RBs plus the QB of the future, a solid TE and some linemen. Very good class on the offensive side of the ball.
ESPN has Beckner rated as the 2nd best player in the country. Rivals has him a little lower, but it's still a huge get for Mizzou. TJ Warren could also turn out to be a really good DB.
This is the happiest overall I've ever been with a Mizzou recruiting class.

Hentges and Ofodile would have been incredible to get. Oh well. Don't think I realized what a major prospect Lock is.

Mizzou trails only Wisconsin and Oregon for outperforming its recruiting rankings in the past 10 years:

Well, my Broncos traded up to draft Shane Ray. What can you guys tell me? I'm a little concerned about his off the field behavior. Should I be?

Tony Dungy would be concerned about a media circus distracting the team, I guess.

You should not. Shane Ray tumbling to the bottom of the first round while Jameis Winston goes #1 with a bullet is the most NFL thing. He is very good.Socnorb11 wrote:Well, my Broncos traded up to draft Shane Ray. What can you guys tell me? I'm a little concerned about his off the field behavior. Should I be?

Turf toe.
Broncos trainers evaluated him, and said he'll be fine.
Thanks for the input, guys. I haven't really followed Ray's career, but the Broncos seem to love him. Is he effective against the run?
