I told my nephew - "I want to leave that first putt short." "Huh?"MrCrowesGarden wrote:Damn, heartbreaker for Dustin Johnson. Driver, 5 iron into a 600 yarder... 3-putt from 12 feet.
And then he saw why I said that. Above the hole on those greens? I'd play for the tie. If it goes in, great. I just want to make sure I'm close enough for the birdie putt. Dustin let it slip too far past, IMO.

That was a gag. I think DJ will win one of these eventually, but that'll haunt him.

I get that, but Dustin Johnson makes that putt 95 times out of 100, even above the hole. I don't blame him at all for trying to finish it off on Sunday, with one stroke of the putter.Joe Shlabotnik wrote:I told my nephew - "I want to leave that first putt short." In fact, in an interview he said that he tapped it as lightly as he could and that he was trying to keep it above the hole. So my comment is retracted, the green was just too slick.Socnorb11 wrote:I get that, but Dustin Johnson makes that putt 95 times out of 100, even above the hole.
