Last I heard, only a handful and a half out of thousands have finished the race over the years. Nobody finished in 2015.
You have to write an essay in hopes of being accepted. Bring your state license plate, and cigarettes for the race director.

Race time isn't set, you get a short notice and starts when the old guy lights his cigarette.
