Early onset Alzheimer's. She was only 64.
What a basketball legend.

Re: Pat Summitt RIP
Quick anecdote on Summit.
My father loves hoops. He and some friends decided to catch Tennessee Lady Vols when they came to Fayetteville during the 1997-1998 season. Now the Lady Razorbacks went to the Final Four that year. Best team in Lady Back history probably.
Tennessee won 88-58 in Arkansas. The Lady Vols went on to go 39-0.
He told me that nobody, men or women, set screens as hard as the Tennessee Lady Vols.

Re: Pat Summitt RIP
Pat Summit spoke at my high school graduation. As it turns out, she roomed with one of my friends mom in college. So, naturally since they were good friends, they invited her to stay at their house instead of a hotel. I feel bad for saying this, but i don't really remember much of her speech, being kinda starstruck and had the whole graduation thing goin on n all...but then again that was also a long time ago.
The whole event is pretty memorable in itself, but i will also never forget that i almost hit her with my car as she was jogging on the narrow road near our houses (where she was staying).
Incredible person and coach. RIP Pat
