Best, or most skilled, to me means the best all around player. There's been a whole lot of players who were better as freshmen than Andrew Wiggins. I've only watched Monk play a couple times but he doesn't seem to do much else besides score, obviously. As of right now I'd have him behind Lonzo Ball, Markelle Fultz and possibly a few others just in this year's class. In the one and done era, Durant, Beasley, Kevin Love and a few others are all fighting for second place behind Anthony Davis.Tim wrote:Malik Monk put 47 on UNC today.
Is he the best freshman since Durant? He is more skilled than Wiggins was at this point.

Did you watch him yesterday?
I'd take KD over AD as a freshman. AD was phenomenal though. He and MKG were stifling on the defensive end.

It's amazing at this point that there are still Kim Anderson apologists still blaming Suitcase Mike and Haith instead of the guy whose team can't beat Eastern Illinois at home. I can't put my finger on why that is, though.

My favorite is Mizzou paid a search firm to recommend hiring the 65 year old alum coaching D2 an hour away. Whatever they were paid, it was too much.Farewell Friends wrote:It's amazing at this point that there are still Kim Anderson apologists still blaming Suitcase Mike and Haith instead of the guy whose team can't beat Eastern Illinois at home. Kim Anderson should have been the Red Schoendienst fill in HC. Nothing more.

Another player has transferred from Mizzou. That's now 11 transfers or dismissals in Anderson's 2.5 years.
