Re: 2017-18 NBA Thread
From what I've read, it's minimally protected. Like top 5 protections and that's it. I think most Pelicans fans resigned themselves to the fact that first was as good as gone anyway.
Glad they're picking up next year for Mirotic. If Boogie is able to come back anything like what he was, he'll need someone who can take considerable minutes. I'm sure they'll be going into the luxury tax, but you should when you have a real star or stars.
Asik has to be at the heart of the worst Pelicans transactions ever. Cost a first round pick to acquire, got a huge contract, cost a first round pick to get rid of.

CJ, Harkless (or whoever) and a 1st for LeBron.
Do it, Blazers. It'd be a real interesting few months until we lost to the Warriors anyway and he left. Might as well.

They'd do a 30 for 30 about it for sure.BottenFieldofDreams wrote:CJ, Harkless (or whoever) and a 1st for LeBron.

I'd miss watching CJ's swervy craftiness. It's quite unique. He's not explosive, but he's not unathletic--he just plays like he is.

Now that the Hornets have Hernangomez I am assuming Dwight or Cody are gone.

It's still funny to me how thoroughly Kyrie stuck it to LeBron & Gilbert. He was actually the most valuable long-term piece to that team but got by far the least consideration in the direction and culture of the team so he just bounced. A true millennial hero for the culture.

You know you're in a good place at your job when you react to the latest tales of a depressed and frustrated LeBron passive aggressively lashing out at his "boss" and co-workers for not being on his level with an intensely knowing "I feel you."
