Playing my old Titleist 905T because I hit it well and am stubborn, but the advancements in tech have made it silly to keep playing it. I've hit a buddies Callaway XR16 Pro and another's Taylor Made M1 and really like them both. Have a buddy from out of town I used to play with a lot that won't quit talking about his Cobra F7+. Anyone have any experience?
What kind of distance gain did you see?
I'm in a similar boat with 8 year old irons and that same driver. I've heard varying opinions from pros on which to upgrade first; research kind of suggested you'll see about a 1 yard / year distance gain in drivers. So you'd get 10-15 yard with a newer driver tho I suppose if you had a driver with a larger sweet spot you'd find it more often and maybe see more.
Tiger tied for the lead with 10 to play. And once again he is playing from the fairway on 9. That's the difference here - he's keeping it in the fairway. Hasn't done that in a decade it seems.
