And somehow, Doug Armstrong still has his job.

John Tavares no matter what.
(They won't, and they'll maybe get Ryan O'Reilly.)

I think Tavares is a pipe dream. Blues have the cap space to afford him, but so do other teams (notably the Leafs) that are likely more attractive for him. No knock on the Blues--I think he'll choose somewhere else to play.

same...but o'reilly seems like another stastny to me.MrCrowesGarden wrote:John Tavares no matter what.

we think we're getting the 50-60 point guy, and instead get the guy in the 40 point range. a good player of course, just not what we thought/a true difference maker.
i just don't see much available this offseason to get.
of course the schenn deal came out of no where, AND we got to ship off dead weight as well...def did not see that coming, so who knows...

I think the more realistic but probably still pipe dream scenario is something around Parayko for Draisaitl.

I don't think I'd make that deal. The blue line depth just isn't deep enough to trade away your second best defenseman.MrCrowesGarden wrote:I think the more realistic but probably still pipe dream scenario is something around Parayko for Draisaitl.

I'd absolutely do it. Center's never adequately addressed by the Blues.
