Gasol to Toronto is tasty. Kawhi / Gasol / Siakam / Ibaka / Anunoby / Danny Green is a really deep crop of plus defenders who can do a LOT of switching. Between Philly, Milwaukee, Toronto and Boston the East Final Four should be a LOT of fun.

The Harrison Barnes trade is all about SAC having that big wing who can guard the other team's 3. SAC has playoff aspirations for the future and Barnes is the guy they didn't have who is big enough to put a hand in the face or a body on KD, Kawhi, PG13, LeBron, guys who would just bulldoze Hield or Bogdan. I REALLY like Barnes to SAC, hope he re-ups because I love their core (Harry Giles is preternaturally gifted in the post you guys) and want to see them be a feel-good story over the next few years.

Some Harry Giles porn...

Lot of talent moving east due to the spectre of LeBron in Cle no longer hovering over the conference. Three teams with legit shots at the finals.

Are you not including Boston in that three? I still like them. They've won 9 of their last 10 and five in a row. Kyrie is probably still the best player in the East Conference at creating offense for himself and his teammates, and that's a great thing to have in the postseason. If they pick up Kanter, freshly waived as part of the Knicks race to the bottom for Zion, look out.

Lebron picked KD, Kyrie, Kawhi, AD, and Klay for his All-Star squad.

The Lakers Photoshop Dream Team.

Went to the Bulls last night. Still not very entertaining, the best part was Jabari's Revenge Game. Our section had a blast cheering for the kid who brought four straight state HS championships home for Simeon and he didn't disappoint. Lot of F-You dunks, lot of glaring at the Bulls bench.

There are some ok parts on the Bulls, everyone on the team deserves a roster spot in the NBA, but it's just that every player on that team except Lauri and Otto (both had solid games last night) and maybe Lopez are playing 1-2 spots above where they should be in a depth chart or a team's organizational plans. LaVine should not be a 30%+ usage player for anyone. Selden should be a 12 minutes/game energy guy, not the #2 SF who shifts to SG a lot on the 2nd unit, ends up playing 25 minutes and providing almost nothing. Felicio should be the last man on the roster who plays in emergencies and blowouts only, not a backup center. Stuff like that. They're just in way over their heads, to the point where a mediocre team like the Wizards can run them off their home floor without breaking much of a sweat.

Understandable, they are one of the most unremarkable Best Record In The League teams in memory. Couple journeyman guys on there who don't elicit a lot of excitement like Hill and Ilyasova. And it's very hard to root for Bledsoe, even though he's found some happiness in Milwaukee.

I forget about Milwaukee until I look at the standings every day. If they had added Anthony Davis........ oh my.

The league would implode upon itself if we somehow ended up with a Denver/Milwaukee championship series. (Won't happen because GS is still too good, but the thought of it has to make the league tremble a little bit).
