I think that's fair, but there are a lot of important organizations that will benefit from the money. Would've been interesting to see the texts, emails, etc. that would've come out in discovery though.

Why on earth would Kaepernick not want that stuff to be made public?

Sometimes juries are stupid. I think that's mostly it.

Juries would stop that stuff from being made public?

It would be made public but there would be a chance because of 12 people who aren't smart enough to get out of jury duty that he could lose the case.

It's a commercial. He got reportedly at least 60 million dollars to do a lot of good for organizations that need it.

Did he get $60M or $30M? Are he and Reid splitting it? Honest question, because I'm not sure how the lawsuit was set up.

I hope he gives it to organizations.

Granted, NFL has so much money, that it is virtually impossible to penalize them in a way it hurts financially, but my guess is that NFL still would have preferred to pay a lot less and let CK and Reid keep their moral high ground.

An NDA seems like a Booby prize (on NFL side) when everybody knows who won this. Maybe other players can't use a case like this as precedent against the NFL. but that won't deter others from trying for an assortment of reasons.

Business of Lawyering for ex-NFL players has to be lucrative AF.
