Let's also not forget that the Rams should not have been in the Super Bowl. If it were not for the "coincidence" of Los Angeles-based referees ignoring one of the most obvious penalties in recent memory that.

I wouldn't doubt if Rams don't make playoffs next year. I havent followed NFL close at all recently and their division 2019 draft setup ..... so I can't give this prediction the Freed LockTM

This years success - they had a lot going right. health of the O line. 2019, no more sneaking up on teams. They were figured out by EOY offensively. Defense, I like Wade but attrition by winning has its ways.

and , as hoot noted. It was definitely in the NFL interest to see Rams have success in 2018.
The league was is in turmoil - with All the [expletive] with National anthem backlash, terrible Thurs and MNF, players behaving criminally, concussions etc , drop in ratings and owners moving teams whenever they want. It wasn't pretty....if Rams fall on ass in LA fans will do something else there. not good for NFL. Now they bought fan base time to get Kroenkes pyramid built without it being a white elephant at opening.

Deadspin article on Kroenke - "Don't Forget That Rams Owner Stan Kroenke Is A ****bird With Bad Hair" is worth a read.

I’m sure the “defense wins championships” crowd is vehemently supporting that game as entertaining.

The Rams and Chiefs played a 54-51 game this season that still had as many or more big defensive plays. It was an incredible game.

Last night was not.

I love a good pitchers duel

Oh expletive wrong thread

The commercials were boring because everything is so politically correct these days and no one has a sense of humor anymore.

They did kill the Bud Light Knight in rather graphic detail.

This one clinched it: Tom Brady is the greatest Boston athlete of all time

During the halftime show, Big Boi parked his car on the 48 yard line.

It went deeper than 58% of Rams drives.

That's actually a really tough one. Ted Williams is in the argument for best baseball player of all time. Same for Orr with hockey. Russell and Bird probably aren't in that very top tier, but in the top 10 conversation.

Brady certainly has all the rings, and great statistics to back it up. I don't know if that makes up for Teddy Ballgame and Bobby Orr playing on a completely different level than the rest of the league. I posted in another thread about Williams' career slash line (.344/.482/.634) being higher than any individual season in any category for Mike Trout (.326/.460/.629). Orr had six straight seasons over 100 points, leading the league twice. As a 21-26 year old defenseman. Again Brady has the championships, but Manning, Brees, etc. are arguably his equal or better on a performance basis in his generation.
