Guess for me, that point of view depends on just how unhappy and devisive Walt has become over the past year. If his dissatisfaction with the budget, and his disillusionment with the whole Luhnow thing, have become as festering as these things sometimes get in any workplace, it was time to go.

But they're making it sound like they dismissed Walt, not that Walt quit. Or am I misinterpreting your statements?

I can see both sides, skmsw is right about his past three years have been weak. But he did accomplish a lot and it seems a bit ungrateful.
