Best way to thaw bread?

Post by planet planet »

Sorry for the lame question, but we've been freezing our bread because we're sick of it getting moldy in a week. What's the best way to thaw bread?

I warm refrigerated bread by toasting it on a the stove with butter...

My parents always used the microwave.

I dunno...I would guess 18-24 hours...I usually do it before I go to bed, and it's pretty thawed when I make sandwiches in the morning. I usually keep a loaf in the fridge...keeps fresh longer.

We just take it out of the freezer and place it on a counter. It thaws in a matter of hours.

If you need a couple of slices in a hurry, just use the thaw setting on the microwave, or the thaw setting on a newfangled toaster.

Or pant on it while exercising.

I just keep my bread in the fridge; it stays good for over a week that way.
