I second this. I've never been a fan of the mega threads.Kyle wrote:Yes, this is a great suggestion. I'll address this more formally at a later date.stlouie_lipp wrote:Now that the split has happened, might I suggest efforting to make new threads instead of just dumping everything into mega threads? For example, "Clinton's Emails" and "Trump's Immigration Policy" and "New Radiohead Album" and "Star Wars: Rouge One", etc. I think that would increase chatter.

I thought that would work itself out at the GRB Get-together & Drunken Brawl .Kyle wrote:Some of these topics are sensitive and are starting to cause a rift on the board.

I see that Mcgurks is pet friendly outside. If I get a chance to go to the GRB Get-together & Drunken Brawl, I'll bring Big Galoot to attack that internet bully, Molly.Spider John wrote:I thought that would work itself out at the GRB Get-together & Drunken Brawl .Kyle wrote:Some of these topics are sensitive and are starting to cause a rift on the board.

However, Galoot and I would steer the [expletive] clear of JCShutout - aka Bruce Lee of STL.

Good news that the mega-threads are going. Maybe fold rants and raves into it, and have "entertainment stuff" and "other stuff" sub-forums (along with the political / religious one, of course).

What happens if I post a political Rant and Rave? Time for a new subforum!

Eh, you might be right. I've been around forums for a disappointingly long time, and I've seen them every which way - I just like a nice entertainment sub-forum to retreat to when the Cardinals aren't doing anything and I don't feel like defending the tenets of socialism.heyzeus wrote:What happens if I post a political Rant and Rave? I think it has worked swimmingly. I find the board to be much more enjoyable.
