Yep. And yet he won't win Manager of the Year. For this year, for this team, he should be a no brainer. But it won't happen. For some reason, I got more joy out of watching TLR being so excited this year. In the ten years he has been here, I've never seen the emotion he has shown this post season. For that, he has forever embedded himself into Cardinal lore. He is a Cardinal now and forever.

I loved seeing TLR being able to enjoy this.

I've gotta say that TLR has finally shut up the critics within Cardinal Nation and that he is a true Cardinal with this win...I feel less excited, for some reason than in 1982. Maybe we thought we shoulda won it in 85 or 87 or 2004 (for sure) I am very happy, but less so than I thought I would probably cause I didn't expect it. I will say it's nice to have this forum among others to vent and rage about my 3rd love in life (although my wife and kids may disagree upon the ranking)

I've paid my dues
Time after time
I've done my sentence
But committed no crime
And bad mistakes
I've made a few
I've had my share of sand kicked in my face
But I've come through
We are the champions my friends
And we'll keep on fighting till the end
We are the championsWe are the champions
No time for losers'Cause we are the champions of the world
I've taken my bows
And my curtain calls
You brought me fame and fortuen and everything that goes with it
I thank you all
But it's been no bed of roses
No pleasure cruise
I consider it a challenge before the whole human race
And I ain't gonna lose
We are the champions my friend
And we'll keep on fighting till the end
We are the champions
We are the champions
No time for losers
'cause we are the champions of the world
