would you do this trade?

Post by Pujols is a God »

I got offered a trade, I give up Soriano, Adam Jones, and Ubaldo Jimenez. I get back Beltran, Bay, and Danks

unless you think Soriano can get back to where he was a few years ago, i'd do that.

it's not a slam dunk either way, but I think the Bay/Beltran combo is more likely to produce than the Soriano/Jones combo. That said, the Soriano/Jones combo has the chance to equal or out produce Bay/Beltran. I'm not high on Carlos.

So, safe bet is on Beltran/Bay.

The pitchers probably are a wash.

I would do it as well.

Bay and Beltran being better than Soriano and Jones is greater than Jimenez being better than Danks

Without question, take the deal.

I'd take this in a heart beat, imo. Beltran/Bay is enough to convince me, but Danks is going to be pretty good, too.

Yup. Do the deal my man...Adam Jones is still extremely unproven, and has an injury history.

Bay and Beltran both play in great lineups, and have history. Danks > Jimenez for me, but I value consistency in my pitching.
