Fantasy NBA Auction League on ESPN

Post by thrill »

PM me with an email to send you an invite if you'd like to participate. Draft is this Friday at 7pm cst. It's an auction, so that's fun.

I may or may not be able to make 7pm tomorrow. I forgot it was the grandmother's birthday. When they get to the 95 range you can't weasel your way out of the birthday dinners.

Looks like we may not have enough by then, anyway.

Yeah I'm moving it back and inviting some people.

I moved it back exactly a week.

Got like 4 or 5 spots. Who's in? Somebody's in.

I'm in as team #6.

So it's an auction draft this Friday? Does that go one player at a time?

yeah, each team has a set budget they can spend on their team and one player is put up for auction at a time. Once that player is sold to the highest bidder the next team in order nominates a player to be bid on and so on.

Also, everyone takes turn nominating players up for bid. We don't just go through the rosters alphabetically or anything.

it's not the worst idea in the world to do a mock auction on ESPN ahead of time so you know how the system works. You don't have to finish the mock draft and once the draft is done you're done with it.

The software is actually really good and the auctions are a lot of fun.

"Going once...going twice..." :D Pretty cool. Glad I did a run through just to get an idea of how many high priced guys one team can afford.
