I did an insane amount of research for my draft, which is going to take place next Wednesday. My league is a rotoleague and is 6x6. I used projections from rotoworld. Then ranked the players with an Excel formula based on their projections and total scores. Then I used ADP from Yahoo and averaged the two. So, my rankings are actually a combination of Yahoo's ADP and my rankings.
I also color coordinated the highlights on the spreadsheet to indicate where a player ranks in each of the statistical categories. So, if later in the draft I'm looking for steals or HR's or something, the decision will be easier. I also pinpointed Sluggers and High-K pitchers to target in the 1st five round, because that is my strategy this year.
If anybody would like a copy of the spreadsheet, I'd be glad to e-mail it to you. It took a lot of time and I'd love to share my work.
The top 5 accoding to my rankings and their point values (using the scoring in my league and a little bit of tweaking)
#1 - Albert Pujols (1663)
#2 - Miguel Cabrera (1565)
#3 - Hanley Ramirez (1457)
#4 - Joey Votto (1527)
#5 - Troy Tulowitzki (1444)
(Yahoo's ADP accounts for the discrepancy in the rankings and points)
