Dropping injured undroppable players

Post by planet planet »

I own Reyes in two leagues and since he's tagged as undroppable, I can't drop him and pick up another SS. He hasn't been placed on the DL yet so maybe that will help. Does anyone know?

In most leagues, there are revisions to the no-drop list throughout the season.

They dropped him in my one league for me when I asked customer service about it. There goes both my teams though.

Ha, in my other league, I'm the league manager and I can change the settings at any time to observe ESPN's undroppable players list so I just did.

He should be back around the All-Star break, so you'd still get a decent amount of 2nd half production from him. (Assuming you have the DL room to stash him.)

(I am a Reyes owner as well. Really happy to also be a Prado owner, as I can slide him over to SS.)

Wait a sec, I have Prado on that team too. Why is it not showing SS eligibility for him in ESPN leagues?

he didn't play enough games there last year to qualify for ESPN's rules. They require 20 games the previous year or 10 games in the current year. Prado had 13 games at SS for Atlanta last year.

a lot of people don't like ESPN due to those eligibility rules, but it makes much more sense to me than yahoo's minimal requirements.

As you may have deduced from clevername's post, I am in a Yahoo! league.

So I picked up Cozart in place of Reyes at SS, but dropped him in favor of Crawford when he hurt his finger bunting the other day. Going forward, what do you think about this Gregorius kid? Start him over Crawford or Cozart (when he's available)?

Also, is anyone picking up Allen Webster?
