Quick question

Post by planet planet »

Who should I start for the week, Peavy at home v. Reds, Lynn @ Pirates, or Burnett @ Blue Jays?

Tough call. My gut says, "Not Burnett in an AL park against a potentially explosive offense".

Who's going against Lynn & Peavy?

Just picked up Taveras in my league. Who would you regularly start of these players: Werth, Holliday, Kemp, Springer, and Taveras (need 4)? Also when Votto comes off the DL soon, I'll need to decide on which 5 of 7 positions out of Werth, Holliday, Kemp, Springer, Taveras, Votto, and V. Martinez. Log jam, I like them all except Kemp although with Crawford on the DL he's playing everyday.

If it were me, I'd let Oscar get a little more acclimated to the bigs before making him an every day fantasy start. But matchups in regards to the veterans would play a factor for me, especially a guy who's struggling like Kemp.

As for your 2nd question, I'd be investigating the trade market pronto, because you're going to sit 2 quality guys. I'd rank Kemp last in that group, and if you do look to trade him, don't expect a lot in return. Holliday would probably rank next to last until he starts hitting for more power. Also, he seems to like home cooking, and he's about to go on a 9-game roadie.

(Disclosure: I have Werth & Holliday on my squad, too.)

Need urgent help in a non-keeper league!

I'd like to activate Abreu, but I need to drop one of the following in order do that:

Machado
Werth
Holliday
Adam Jones
Rios
Melky Cabrera

Right now, I'm leaning towards Machado, as it seems like he's recovering on the job. I'm sure later in the season, he'll start raking as his health improves.

What say you?

Definitely Machado although he's the only 3B man; don't you need him at 3B? Second would be Rios who disappoints at some point every year.

I also have Miguel Cabrera; he qualifies at 1B & 3B.

Barring an injury tonight, Machado is off the island.

I'm one of the buffoons that's been keeping Craig on my roster as my worst OF. Would you drop him for Tavares?

Is Craig on your bench? Is it a keeper league?
