While the victims ultimately would like to see Epstein go to jail, the judge’s ruling stopped short of issuing a remedy or punishment. He gave the government and victims 15 days to confer with each other to come up with a resolution. It’s unclear what that resolution would be.

libertarians are culpable in this corruption. The drive for less regulation and govt, and into the void comes a bastardized version - kleptocracy.

Yup. And if you didn't see THAT coming after contemplating your first reading of Atlas Shrugged, you're a dork.

Libertarians are just college republicans that still wanna get laid. As an ideology, it defies all grounding in logic or human nature.

They can say, it's all Trump. But that dumbass wouldn't know how to find these people. Bannon got in his ear and it evolved from there. This is a Grover Norquist libertarian wet dream.

They find worst person available, the one with most contempt for the purpose of the office they are to hold.

WASHINGTON — President Trump ordered his chief of staff to grant his son-in-law and senior adviser, Jared Kushner, a top-secret security clearance last year, overruling concerns flagged by intelligence officials and the White House’s top lawyer, four people briefed on the matter said.

Mr. Trump’s decision in May so troubled senior administration officials that at least one, the White House chief of staff at the time, John F. Kelly, wrote a contemporaneous internal memo about how he had been “ordered” to give Mr. Kushner the top-secret clearance.

The White House counsel at the time, Donald F. McGahn II, also wrote an internal memo outlining the concerns that had been raised about Mr. Kushner — including by the C.I.A. — and how Mr. McGahn had recommended that he not be given a top-secret clearance.
