The GOP in Missouri largely reflects its donors and voters. It’s bigoted and white, representing white-flight exurbs or hollowed-out rural areas. It’s for more guns and less government, ignoring the reality that low-tax states like Kansas and Oklahoma are stagnating, while higher-tax higher-service states like California are booming. It’s anti-immigrant, anti-gay, anti-union and anti-black, while hiding behind white evangelical piety that barely disguises white nationalism.

So far, this pretty well describes any state’s GOP in the Age of Trump. But add an ousted governor with a taste for machine guns and (allegedly) basement bondage, a U.S. senator-elect who let corporate lobbyists run the state’s Attorney General’s Office (costing taxpayers millions), a political hit man who decided the Trump White House was too sleazy even for him, and a gaggle of anonymous right-wing millionaires, and you have the Show-Me State’s Republican Party. It’s a group that would be just as comfortable running a Nigerian social media scam as a state government.

Jaco eh? He nailed it. But I take issue some with the hollowed-out rural areas.....more-like politically abandoned by liberals and democrats.

Now they plan to gut the Sunshine Laws Bogus premise that the legislator's social sec # and other personal info would become public. Good ole democracy hating republicans.

Greiten's heir and Trumper, Parson. - ([expletive] it. You all are Trumpers, conservatives) signed in 8 week abortion ban. So [expletive] dumb. Why not 6? Why not one day? Grab the brass ring!

Good ole bassackwards slave state Missourah. Let's see what other asswipe states like Alabama are doing and adopt what they do. We win the race to the bottom. Or come in 2nd or 3rd.

Most Missourians, we are privileged and can ignore all this [expletive] and live our lives. Ain't that grand.

The State is broke. Jeff City a mess. Better hope Trump likes Missouri more than Puerto Rico ,(I think he does,-whew).

Hot damn!. Democrat Nicole Galloway is running for governor of MO. The state desperately needs any leverage they can get against the corrupt GOP Trumper asswipe regime.

Good journalism by local NPR here -
As Missouri Trims Its Medicaid Rolls, Families Say They've Been Kicked Off Unfairly

120,000 Missourians dropped of Medicaid since beginning of 2018, most of them children. State GOP explanations for this don't add up.
sounds a lot like their voter suppression efforts.

Not exactly legislature related, but I met the Dem candidate for Attorney General this week. He's been an assistant AG for a long time, is from STL, is incredibly sharp and seems to be a genuine dude. Elad Gross. I hope he gets elected. These fvckers need to have their feet held to the fire, and he'll do it.

I’m a donor. Hope he gets traction. He’s what we need.
