So then you think that the tax rates that enabled the United States to grow its middle class and build the national infrastructure we rely on to this day were wrong? You think that Dwight D Eisenhower was a socialist?

Don't get me started on that damn commie. Red bastard. Stalin's puppet. Right?! Right!?!?!

It's just weird for people today to object to the tax structures that made it so much easier for their parents to live a middle class life.

Almost everyone I've talked to about this IRL thinks AOC is proposing a 70% tax on all income. It's incredibly funny/troubling.

Is the public's non-understanding of marginal tax rates a rhetorical victory or just a math ignorance thing?

It's got to be both, right?

Buying a Ferrari to him is like a millionaire tipping a barista. Or like a normal person dropping a couple pennies in the tray at the gas station.

I wish I had this info while I was listening to two old middle class guys talk in a dr. office waiting room today. “What incentive will my granddaughter have to be successful if they’re gonna take it all?!”

Delusions.

The conservative spin is working.

NPR MarketPlace had interview last night with CEO of Boeing, who had nothing but good things to say about tax reform and the POTUS who renegotiated Air Force One with him.

He seemed like a reasonable decent guy. Can't blame him for looking at it from his own and company's perspective. The part about talking up Trump and his business sense did not come with a disclaimer ....that Boeing is fairly dependent on US govt for sales. A flame war with a toddler pres won't do them well.
