So the GOP are now Keynesians? Jesus Christ.

That's an incredible quote.

Quote:
But Ryan Ellis, a conservative tax consultant, says most people don’t care how much the rich receive in tax cuts so long as they get what they consider to be meaningful reductions as well.

"Ask a family making $87,000 with two kids if they could use an extra $1,200," he said.

"The Jones family doesn't give a s--- if distribution tables that JCT or Treasury or TPC put out are skewed at some end because of the pass-through rate — they don't know or care about any of that," said Ellis. "To them, it's a new refrigerator, it's a vacation they couldn't take.

"That's the way they look at it, that's the way Republicans look at it, and that's how we sell tax relief to the middle class."

Once again, it's Collins and Murkowski that get my admiration for actually voting against these bills/policies. Not McCain, Corker, and Flake who are as complicit as any of these GOP mofos with their votes, and only speak out against Trump once they aren't worried about re-election.

beginning of the press conference would be funny if it weren't a fascist "Eff - you America" insult. (btw, that contrived supply side fairy-tale was forwarded in crazy right wing uncle email chains 15 years ago - they don't even work at their insults anymore.)

FWIW - I was right about today's presser diversion from indictments of Trump's cronies. though this article traces it back to at least 2011, I found it in my email folder dated 2004 . I saved it because I found it incredibly dumb. Back then it was propaganda for GWB's tax cuts for the rich. Huckabee could barely
even read it.

I hate the way taxes are discussed in this country. It’s not beer and rich people have a [expletive] ton more stuff to protect so no [expletive] they should pay more. Much more.

Anyway, th focus on tax cuts/tax is bad is like setting limits on what your going to spend on your monthly budget without accounting for just what it is you have to pay for.

Ha -- the GOP is so in the weeds, mainstream Republicans now are accused of being Democrats.

What a country.
