I wasn't sure if there happened to be a thread for tonight's election results.

Anyway, Ralph Northam (D) is running away in the Virginia governor's race. Ed Gillespie (R) did well in the rural, western, and predominately white counties, but is doing quite poorly in suburbs throughout the state:

And then of course, the dichotomy of Trump's tweets: beginning of the day, "vote for Ed, Ed is great"! Recently: Donald J. Trump‏Verified account @realDonaldTrump 39m39 minutes ago

Ed Gillespie worked hard but did not embrace me or what I stand for. Don’t forget, Republicans won 4 out of 4 House seats, and with the economy doing record numbers, we will continue to win, even bigger than before!

The biggest shock tonight is the Democrats have a real chance of taking control of the Virginia House of Delegates. They currenty have 34 of 100 seats. Tonight they've won 42 and are currently leading in 9. That is in Republican gerrymandered districts. That is stunning. Noone expected that. A political earthquake if they pull it off.

It appears right now at least that Kansas City will be getting out of the 70s as voters will likely approve a new airport.

If anyone has ever flown into KCI, you know what I mean.

I got delayed there for nine hours when I was in the army. I asked to drive to St Louis to catch my bus to Leanord Wood but the military wouldn't hear of it. So I rolled in thirty minutes before wake up call. I hate that airport and it should burn in hell.
