One that realistically considers workers' struggles and how they're affected by layoffs, stock prices, whatever?

I see stuff like this and it's hard to take CNBC and the like seriously, and not think they're in this to frame the conversation in favor of corporations and business owners. So here they're saying "look how well this guy pinches pennies, you can do it too." Not that there's anything wrong with managing a budget well, but these numbers are ridiculous.

That chart is ridiculous.

25 year old making $100k and No college debt. lol.

It is possible. This "person" would have to come from family wealth to have that set up. It is easy to be a frugal penny pincher , when you don't have the various startup costs to pay off.

House cleaner...$30? Is that for cleaning materials because it certainly isn't for paying a person.

Internet...$20? Does he have dialup?

He has 4 roommates and is on a family phone plan. No student loans at 25. But that’s not being excellent with money. At least not in a way most could reproduce.

I enjoy NPR Marketplace. I just hear their radio program, so not sure if they have some other venue.

I'm not sure I've ever met a 25 yr old that donates almost as much to charity as he pays in rent.

The only somewhat accurate figures might be groceries, health insurance, and dining out.

He went to Princeton and makes his own schedule tutoring people? Usually people donating 25% of their income can live like that because daddy is a surgeon or something. There’s no risk

I don't know if they advocate for workers. The stock market is currently anti-compensation anyway.

Transportation = $130

So, no car payment, no car insurance, no car repairs. Only gas for a reasonable commute, and never a long road trip
