$195 seems high for utilities if you're sharing that bill with 3 other people.

A single 25 year old who only spends $250/month eating out? Yeah, ok.

A single 25 year old who has a housekeeper who only costs $30/month? Yeah, ok.

How do you get $20/mo internet? Sign me up. And a $40/mo cell phone. Does this guy have a Zero Data plan and use pay phones? $130/mo in transportation means he has no car, so we can forget about the $825/mo in rent unless this hypothetical 25 year old financial savant lives on the far west side of Chicago or in a tent on the Jersey Shore.

This pie chart is dumb.

A first thing most people learn in the adult world is nobody has the same starting point financially. Kind of have to just accept this, and deal with it- Some times doing more of it on your own , gives you freedom, (and your bull [expletive] bootstrap narrative that is required to be an American)

But that chart, pretending like it's a norm or a blueprint for young adults -fantasy land.

Look at Mr. Charity over there with 600 a month in donations.

That chart is so laughable. I think a huge problem with our country is our media who is owned by the wealthy have such a screwed up idea of what it's like to be a normal person.

I wasn’t certain if 4 roommates included him or not. But yeah.

Explains the low internet and housekeeper costs, and the low rent in Boston.
