So withholding paychecks from people to try to make Democrats cave is one strategy that ended up not working. All that had to happen was some workers at major airports withholding their labor and Republicans and Trump pretty much immediately caved. There is a lesson there, folks.

We'll see it in action in MLB soon enough.

The deal is for 3 weeks of funding.

That inspires confidence.

I doubt he wants another shutdown. It was a huge loser for him. My guess is he'll declare emergency despite knowing it'll get shot down in the courts.

Federal workers are getting backpay which is a good thing. Regardless it sucks us taxpayers are paying for all that lost productivity for something so stupid.

As an accountant, this sounds like an accounting nightmare. I suppose the good thing is most were straight salary, so easier to figure back pay there. W-2s 1099s etc due next week mostly. Hopefully they had those depts working.

Going to work after it being shut down for a 10th of the year, that is going to cost raxpayers $$$ to get back on track.

Really sucks how this happened but it feels good that someone stood up to this [expletive] for once and beat him.
