The same “scientific” polls that had Bernie at 4% in late 2015? Meaningful numbers. About as meaningful YouTube views.

He was eliminated on Super Tuesday last time, if not before. Those single-digits in late 2015 were indicative of his chances.

Also being at 5% as an unknown with a message you can grow. Running a flat 12-16% as a guy who ran last time on the same platform and lost means you're not going anywhere. There's no brand to build. Everyone who's going to vote knows who he is.

Someone have the history of 2nd try repeat presidential candidates in primaries? My gut says the history isn't favorable for Bernie. Voting public, even the more refined primary voters remember he lost.
Perhaps if he were younger, people would look past the prior failure. Face it, Bernie is great, my dude, but people are looking for a bandwagon to hop onto.

Edit, ok there is Nixon. Nice. Ego over country.
Yeah I am drinking. So take this for what you will

Small sample presidential historical data with evolving media landscape and tech landscape.... *fart noise* it doesn’t mean much.

Doesn't mean much to you.
Step outside of your bubble and realize Bernie has an uphill climb in this primary.

And if the debates weren’t reality TV shows obsessed with sound bites he’d be much further ahead.

Morpheus voice: what if I told you dems run lots of candidates on purpose drown out Bernie

Bernie is literally the soundbite guy. Wall Street. The 1%. Fossil Fuel industry. The military industrial complex. Repeat.

Warren is the policy nerd who wants to have a wonky debate about everything like an overachieving high schooler to the point some folks are like "yeah, we get it, you read a bunch," yet she's shown better at both debates than the generally more soundbite friendly Sanders.
