I've only seen one of them live and in person. Weird situation. Homeless-looking guy wearing one at the polls on election day last November. Seeing it was like seeing a person in a diaper in public, like WTF is happening here? So I don't really worry about wearing a Cards hat because I don't think anyone would expect to see a MAGA hat. If I were in a deep red state I might think about it.

yep

Does anyone else's Mazda Miata get confused for a Ferrari? They look awfully similar if you have terrible eyesight and are kind of colorblind.

Have never seen one in person except for a bunch of high school kids in DC last year at the Lincoln Memorial. About 6 months before the Covington thing.

I saw one on a guy in Santa Rosa fl. He was with a family group of 6-8 at next table. His Daddy was this guy ,(source of his $ without a doubt).
I Was with my wife on a weekend there, so i pretended i didnt see it. I figured that person wants attention from that hat, so don't indulge.

Edmonds wore one. Fellow reality Tv show stooges, so it makes sense.

that's crazy.

Similarly, there was an article in the local paper today talking about how the okay symbol (pointer finger and thumb making a circle) is now a symbol of racism? News to me. Gave me a sense of dread thinking about how many times I've "air pitched" a circle change in public over the past however many years and how I hope it wasn't mistaken....pretty [expletive] we have to worry about these things, tbh.

Also, been playing catch with my kid a lot lately and I've gotten pretty damn good at making a tennis ball curve. I didn't think I could do it with a baseball. In a moment of stupidity I told little AW I was going to throw him a breaking ball and at the absolute last second it bit, knicked his glove and hit his shoulder. He was not entertained and it scared the [expletive] out of me, obviously I had to zip it to get it to bite and I couldn't tell where it hit him at first. But now I'm chomping at the bit to play catch with an adult that can handle it. Obviously gonna be a few years before I try that with him again. /humblebrag

I haven't thought about it til now. And franky, confusing the 'StL' for "Make America Great Again" would require a level of stupidity that would qualify that person for any job in the current administration.

It's just the color I worry about, that someone will see the red and for a split-second think it's a MAGA hat, the thought of which makes me feel gross.

A buddy of mine showed up to my bachelor party wearing one, prompting a huge double take on my part. Then I saw that it actually said Make America Gay Again, which was fine.

I wear my Cards hat all the time and hadn't thought of it. But then, a MAGA hat in Austin would be like seeing a confederate flag flying from a restaurant banister in the Castro.
